About & methodology

NewVSTs tracks newly released audio software (plugins and virtual instruments; no hardware).

• Facts (prices, end dates, formats, OS, licensing) are extracted from developer pages and news sources such as Rekkerd.org and Bedroom Producers Blog, which are always credited and linked. We do not republish article text.
• Fields the sources don't state are shown as unknown. We never estimate prices or dates.
• Intro end dates are treated as ending 23:59 UTC on the stated day unless a precise time is published.
• When a deal expires the page stays online and shows "Deal ended". Nothing is deleted.
• Product images come only from developers (press/product pages, itch.io covers, permissively licensed GitHub screenshots). We never use review sites' photography or watermarked images. Removal requests: takedown@newvsts.com.
• "Similar to" suggestions are computed from shared tags and category; the reasoning is shown next to each suggestion.
