OberComp is a 4-band multiband compressor where each band runs its own auto-compression unit, picking attack, release and knee width from the incoming signal so you mainly set threshold and level. Bands are split with cascaded Linkwitz-Riley filters for flat summation, each with pre/post gain, solo/bypass, a sidechain bus, two internal A/B states, and a global mix knob for parallel compression.
About OberComp
OberComp is DDMF's four-band multiband compressor, where each band runs its own auto-compression unit that sets attack, release and knee width automatically from the incoming signal, so the four crossover bands (split with cascaded Linkwitz-Riley filters for flat summation) can be dialed in with mostly threshold and level.
Each band adds independent sub-compressors, pre- and post-band gain, solo/bypass, a sidechain bus to drive compression with an external signal, two internal A/B states for comparing settings, and a global mix knob for parallel compression. It runs at double precision on supported hosts/formats.
Available as VST, VST3, AU and AAX (64-bit, plus a 32-bit Windows build) for macOS 12+ (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10+, and now also on Linux (ARM and x86-64, VST3) and iOS (AUv3). Licensing is a simple file sent after purchase, no dongle or iLok.
