About Vac Rac TSL
Vac Rac TSL is Kazrog's official plugin version of the Vac Rac tube limiters hand-built by Steve Firlotte of Inward Connections. Firlotte worked with Kazrog's team directly to capture how the TSL's tubes bloom under program material.
It holds four units in one plugin: the TSL-5 and TSL-4 voicings from Devin Powers' collection, the TSL-3 from Ross Hogarth's personal unit, and a blend control for the transformerless sound of JJ Blair's original Vac Rac TLM-1. Ratios run from 2:1 to 12:1 with up to 40 dB of gain reduction, and a THD control drives the tube stages from light warmth to heavy distortion.
For mixing there are sidechain high-pass and low-pass filters, stereo link, mid/side processing, a wet/dry mix for parallel compression and Kazrog's Analog Entropy, which varies components slightly between channels. Licenses are perpetual, work on several machines and need no iLok. The demo never expires but drops out briefly now and then and can't save presets.
