Aurora

About Aurora

Aurora is a dynamic EQ built around a live spectrum analyzer: up to 24 bands sit on the curve, and any one of them can switch from static to dynamic with its own threshold, range, ratio, attack, hold and release. A snare's ring or a vocal's harsh edge gets pulled down only on the hit, not across the whole take, and a separate De-Harsh mode tames spectral harshness on its own.

Smart Ops listens while the track plays, then previews a move such as matching a reference curve, de-resonating, de-essing, an automatic high- or low-cut, or unmasking a buried part, right on the graph before it touches the sound. Revert pulls a Smart Op back out again without losing edits made after it, and the analyzer can split to mid and side so a mono kick stays untouched while the sides get reshaped.

The newest bands can anchor to a note, a chord tone or a detected part such as the kick, bass or a vocal and track it as the music moves. For comparing settings, A/B slots hold two versions side by side with auto gain so the louder one doesn't automatically win, and Delta plays back only what the EQ changed; each band can be soloed or bypassed on its own. 41 factory presets across nine folders give a starting point.
