ADB Room Mics is a freeware room-and-mic-technique reverb: build a room from real surface materials, mic it in stereo or surround the way an engineer would, or drop a source into one of 168 measured concert halls, churches and studios. Version 3.0 adds Dolby Atmos beds and AmbiX to the Surround plug-in, 25 more measured spaces and a new preset browser.
About ADB Room Mics
ADB Room Mics is a freeware room-and-mic-technique reverb from ADB Records (Andre de Brito), now at version 3.0. Instead of picking a reverb algorithm, it builds a room from real surface materials, places source and microphones inside it in stereo or surround, and calculates how each microphone technique hears that room with zero latency; it also offers 168 measured concert halls, churches and studios to drop a source into directly.
Version 3.0 adds Dolby Atmos beds (5.0.4/5.1.4/7.0.4/7.1.4) with four height mics and first-order AmbiX support to the Surround plug-in, 25 more measured spaces, a doubled room-size range, and a new preset browser; every download includes both the stereo and surround plug-ins, with 298 room presets and 17 surround presets. AAX for Pro Tools is announced as coming soon.
Freeware, free for personal and commercial use, with optional donations. VST3, AU, CLAP and LV2 on Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Linux.
