224 White Reverb

About 224 White Reverb

224 White Reverb follows the signal path of a classic digital reverb. The input is filtered and sampled the way the machine's audio card did it, through a 12-bit converter whose noise floor moves with the signal, then diffused into a tank of eight delay lines. The developer measured its decay times within 8 % of a sampled unit across seven octave bands.

BASS and MID set separate decay times below and above an adjustable crossover, anywhere from 0.6 to 70 seconds, with Treble Decay, Depth and up to 255 ms of pre-delay alongside. Nine programs cover halls, plates, a chamber, a room and Chorus A, and a second slider page adds Mix, Input, Output, Band Width, Mode Enhancement and Decay Optimization.

The remote works like the original: CALL loads a program with its recommended settings, IMMED switches programs without moving the sliders, and four registers save setups with the session. There are 42 factory presets in six banks, from gated snares to a 70-second freeze, and the panel comes as a 3D render or a flat classic view.
