About GlorpDrums

GlorpDrums is a sample-based acoustic drum instrument, with a standalone app alongside the plugin. It plays multi-velocity kits with round-robin variation and separate articulations per drum, and the developer pitches it as an open alternative to commercial drum samplers.

Snares have head, rimshot, cross-stick and muffled zones, hi-hats run closed, semi-open, open and pedal with choking, and cymbals have edge, bow, bell and choke. Each instrument gets volume, pan, pitch over 12 semitones up or down and a velocity curve: linear, logarithmic, exponential or S-curve. Up to 16 stereo outputs send pieces to their own DAW tracks.

Kits come as single .glorpkit archives read directly without unpacking, and older DrumGizmo kits load as well. A mixer view gives per-mic strips plus a master limiter and reverb. E-drum features such as CC4 hi-hat tracking were built with MIDI simulation and still need real-kit testers.
