About De-Sipper
De-Sipper is a de-esser for harsh S sounds on vocals. It works split-band, so only the sibilant range gets turned down and the rest of the voice, including its brightness and air, passes through untouched.
The main control is a threshold that goes from light smoothing to heavy taming. Listen mode solos the sibilance being removed, and real-time metering shows how much gain reduction is happening and where. There is no lookahead, so it adds zero latency and can stay on a vocal while tracking as well as mixing.
