Broadband phase rotator: adjust phase without changing gain. Helps line up multi-mic drums, guitar cabs and bass DI with amp. Also reshapes lopsided peaks.
About Phrotator
Phrotator shifts the phase of a whole signal by any amount from 0 to 360 degrees without changing level or EQ. That goes further than a polarity flip, letting mics on the same source find the point where they reinforce each other.
Its main job is fine-tuning how close, room and spot mics combine, for better focus and less phase smear. Leit Audio lists drum kits, snare top and bottom, kick in and out, guitar cab mics, and bass DI with amp.
Rotation can also even out lopsided peaks on voice, brass, bass and drums, which frees up headroom while the perceived level stays the same.
Key features
- Phase rotation without gain change
- Aligns multi-mic recordings
- Tames waveform asymmetry
