Saturator built on six cores with memory (Iron, Tape, Tube, Germanium, Silicon and Fold), so the distortion moves with the music instead of sitting on top of it. Up to three stages, attack and body driven separately, a protected low end and honest level compensation, plus 40 presets. VST3, AU and standalone on Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel).
About FORGE
FORGE is a saturator whose cores have memory: the output depends on what the signal did a moment earlier, which is how the developer describes iron, tape and valves behaving. Iron and Tape add weight and glue, Tube breathes, Germanium spits and dies away, and Silicon and Fold push into heavier distortion.
Transient sets whether the drive lands on the attack or the body of each hit, and an Attack core can share the sound with the main one. Anchor keeps part of the band below 50 to 260 Hz out of the cores and returns it in mono. Wear adds gain drift, offsets and a moving bias. Oversampling runs at x1, x4 or x8, and Peak compensation turns drive into density rather than volume.
The Hearth display draws the loop the cores trace, colored by how hot they run, so input and drive can be set by eye. Each instance carries its own small tolerances, saved with the project, and core or stage changes crossfade in 15 ms.
