About Wave Theory
Wave Theory is the debut plugin from BangZilla, a new plugin label from The Audio Programmer, built with UK instrument maker Boxed Ear (Rory Dow). A tempo-synced oscillator moves through one of 100+ included wavetables (or an imported Serum/Vital wave), and the height of the wave at each step becomes a note; changing the wave's shape changes the melody. Four parallel sequencers each control a different part of the pattern: which notes play, how they connect, what part of the wave is read, and how it changes over time.
It sends MIDI rather than audio, so it plays whatever synth or sampler you point it at. Presets and live-performable memory slots follow your chords and lock to your scale, and a lock function can freeze a part you like while the rest keeps changing. It comes with a 14-day full-feature trial, for VST3, AU and AAX on macOS 11+ (Apple Silicon or Intel) and Windows 10+.
