About Acid Drum 909
Acid Drum 909 is a free drum machine from Burnout Theory inspired by the TR-909, with eleven voices: kick, snare, low, mid and high toms, rim shot, clap, closed and open hi-hats, crash and ride. Each instrument has its own processing, and short fades at the end of each sound plus smooth open hi-hat choking keep clicks out.
Every preset holds 32 patterns in four banks of eight, each 1 to 16 steps long with accents. Shuffle runs from 0 to 100% and is exposed as a VST3 parameter, so in FL Studio you can right-click it to make an automation clip or link it to a controller. Patterns go out as MIDI or come in from a MIDI file, and a display shows the host tempo live.
It ships with 250 factory presets covering techno, house, trance and psytrance, with user presets kept separate. Acid Drum 909 is VST3 for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, was tested in FL Studio, and needs Microsoft's Edge WebView2 Runtime for its interface. English and French manuals come with the download.
