Acid303 Solo

About Acid303 Solo

Acid303 Solo is a free, open-source monophonic acid bass synthesizer from Burnout Theory, built with JUCE around classic 303-style accent and slide. Version 3.2 adds wavetable synthesis: eight waveforms (saw, pulse, triangle, sine, square, hollow, formant and folded), picked separately for left and right and blended with a Morph control, with a real-time waveform display.

A unison engine stacks one to eight oscillators per note with detune and blend while keeping monophonic MIDI behavior. The built-in 16-step sequencer has accent, slide and random, holds 64 patterns per preset in eight groups of eight, and switches patterns from MIDI notes 36 to 99 in FL Studio's piano roll, with transposition up or down 12 semitones and MIDI import and export.

The signal path runs through a resonant filter with envelope modulation, a three-band compressor, tube and bitcrusher distortion, and stereo delay and reverb. It ships with 154 factory presets holding 9,856 patterns, a French and English interface and several skins, and comes as VST3 for 64-bit Windows under the GPL-3.0 license, tested in FL Studio.
