Rack is a free strobe tuner from Dead Signal Audio built for low-tuned guitar and bass: it reads one string at a time and the ring stops turning only when the string is true, with built-in presets for Standard, Drop D, Drop C, B Standard, Drop A and 8-string F#. The string keys light up to show the note it hears and the cents off, A4 reference is adjustable, and it only listens, so it can stay on the track without touching the signal.
About Rack
Rack is a free strobe tuner from Dead Signal Audio, the makers of Vantage and Ashfall, built for the low tunings that make ordinary tuners jump around. It listens to one string at a time and the strobe ring stops turning only once the string is actually true, reading the note and the cents off underneath.
Six low-string presets are built in: Standard, Drop D, Drop C, B Standard, Drop A and 8-string F#. Pick a tuning and the string keys show the notes to hit, and the key for the string it hears lights up. The A4 reference moves up or down from 440 Hz. Rack only listens and never touches the audio, so it can stay on the track all session. It stands apart from the free Nu series, with no trial, key or nag screen.
