About Wild Thing
Wild Thing is a lo-fi multi-effect from Fat Berry DSP aimed at worn cassettes, warped records, crushed samplers and dusty tape. Six stages run in a fixed order, Noise, Wobble, Distort, Digital, Space and Magnetic, each with its own switch and amount.
Wobble adds slow and fast pitch movement, Digital lowers sample rate and bit depth, Space is a short reverb with an early/tail balance and frequency-dependent decay, and Magnetic models tape with selectable machines, speeds and a Wear control. Magnitude scales the whole chain up or down, and a final level control has an optional limiter.
Because Noise and Distort feed the later stages, the developer suggests keeping them low and building the sound one stage at a time.
