About Evil FX

Evil FX is a free, open-source multi-effect plugin from Xain Jaya for Windows, macOS and Linux: VST3, CLAP and standalone on all three, plus AU on Mac and LV2 on Linux. It holds 39 effects, but the rack only shows the ones you add. Each one drops in as a card you can bypass, close or drag by its title bar into a new order, and that order is saved with your project and your presets.

The effects run from studio basics (EQ, compressor, transient shaper, saturation, noise gate, reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser) to vocal tools like pitch correction with a hard robotic setting, vocoder, talk box and robot voice, and a long lo-fi section built on old computer audio: low-bitrate MP3, packet loss, stutter, data corruption, dial-up, vinyl and small speakers. Beat repeat, trance gate, sidechain pump and both delays follow the project tempo, and the sidechain input can drive the pump, the gate or the vocoder from a kick.

It comes with 102 presets in a searchable browser with favourites, a RANDOM button, undo/redo, A/B compare and three visual themes. The Mac build is unsigned, so the README gives the xattr command to run if macOS blocks it. Source code and installers are on GitHub under AGPL-3.0.
