Turns any source into warped, broken sideshow machinery. SNARL adds a rasping distorted body, LURCH makes the motor sag, CURSE brings shifting dissonance.
About Evil Clown
Evil Clown is a three-knob effect for making a source sound wrong on purpose. The controls feed one machine, so they push a single character from warped and unstable toward hostile rather than acting as three separate effects.
SNARL covers reed bite, rasping overdrive, heavy breakup and a broken-speaker edge, and it bites early in its range. LURCH mixes slow wow, drift and faster flutter with small left-right differences, so the sound sags and slips. CURSE layers moving dissonant voices and resonances around the source, plus possession events that come and go and get more frequent as the knob goes up.
Leit Audio suggests it for synths and keys, guitar and bass, vocals, drums and percussion, and sound design.
Key features
- SNARL: rasping distorted body
- LURCH: sagging, wobbling motor
- CURSE: shifting dissonance and possession events
