A hall reverb modelled from a real room instead of a stored impulse: width, depth, height, wall and ceiling material, occupancy, temperature and humidity all feed a running acoustic model, with eight microphone-array techniques for the early field and three independently decaying late-field bands.
About HALLE 1280
HALLE 1280 is MEY Audio Engineering's free multichannel hall reverb, built from a modelled room rather than a stored impulse. WIDTH, DEPTH and HEIGHT in metres, plus wall, ceiling and audience material, occupancy, temperature and humidity, all feed a running acoustic model that works out volume, mean free path, RT60, initial time delay gap, late onset and Schroeder frequency in real time as you move the controls.
Eight microphone-array techniques (XY, Blumlein, ORTF, NOS, AB omni, Decca Tree, Hamasaki or a custom array) shape the early field, while the late field splits into sub, mid and tail bands that each decay on their own. COUPLED FIELD ties early and late to the same room, and FREEZE holds the tail for pads. VST3 and AU on macOS (Apple silicon) and Windows; this is v1.0.0, the first public build, free with no account or licence key.
