Stem separation app and plugin: four stems (vocals, drums, bass, other), vocal removal, or tempo and key on their own. It runs on your computer, so your music is never uploaded. Standalone, VST3 and AU on Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 11+); standalone and VST3 on Windows. No licence key to enter.
About Elek
Elek splits a finished track into parts for remixing, sampling or practice. Drop a file and pick one job: four stems, a vocal and instrumental pair, or a key and tempo reading that also gives the Camelot code and how confident the reading is.
Separation uses the HT-Demucs engine over overlapping, cross-faded windows, so there are no clicks at the joins. The instrumental is the mix minus the vocal. It takes WAV, AIFF, MP3 or FLAC at any sample rate and returns 24-bit, 44.1 kHz WAV stems aligned to the original to the sample. Each run gets a folder with files named by track, stem, tempo and key.
A built-in mixer plays the stems with mute, solo and level, and any waveform drags straight onto a DAW track. On an Apple M2 the developer measured about three and a half minutes to separate a four-minute song.
