Echolite is D16 Group's free stereo delay: dedicated Pre Delay, DAW tempo sync (1/64 note to 4 bars, with Full/Dotted/Triplet timing), stereo spread, feedback pushed up to 110%, and a multi-mode post filter with op-amp-style emulation (Low Pass, Band Pass, High Pass, Band Reject, 12 or 24 dB/oct). D16 released it free for the company's 20th anniversary.
About Echolite
Echolite is a plain stereo delay meant to be set up in seconds, on an insert or an FX send. The interest is in the repeats, which can be widened, filtered and pushed until they build instead of fading.
Stereo Spread works by offsetting the delay time between the left and right channels rather than by panning. The post filter's op-amp emulation gives resonant settings some analog-style character, and feedback above 100% makes the trails grow more intense with each pass.
Any control can be mapped to hardware with MIDI Learn, and the interface comes in several sizes with HiDPI support.
