A hardware-style reverb and echo unit with four reverb programmes on their own clock, separate echo and delay slots with tempo sync and ping-pong, independent low and high cut per programme, and a headroom meter that reads the input before it's driven hard.
About Halo 2000
Halo 2000 is MEY Audio Engineering's free hardware-style reverb and echo unit, rebuilt in September 2026 with a new engine behind a hardware-style control surface. Four reverb programmes (Chamber, Broadcast, Wide and Luxe) sit on the panel's PROGRAM column with reverb time, size, character and early-reflection level all live, plus a preset library you can dial in on a data-entry keypad.
Echo and delay each get two slots on their own clock, with DELAY SYNC locking them to the host tempo and PING-PONG throwing repeats across the stereo field. A headroom meter reads the input, not the softened output, so it warns before the engine is driven hard. VST3 and AU on macOS (Apple silicon and Intel, notarized) and Windows, free on as many machines as you own.
