About PTF SM-1 Sampler
PTF SM-1 recreates a hardware sampler's full signal path rather than just its look: the converters, pitch behaviour and sonic coloration from the original machine all shape the sound once something passes through it. A clean digital sample loaded in comes out with the bandwidth and texture of audio that has actually gone through vintage sampling hardware.
Four neural-measured recording grades, HIGH, STANDARD, LONG1 and LONG2, each run their own model rather than just an EQ curve over the same sample, moving from clean and punchy to heavily degraded lo-fi. A 32-slot pad layout, eight pads across four banks, gives a hardware-style workflow, and live sampling through a sidechain input plus a tape-style master pitch control round it out.
