Free tape saturation plugin with two early-2000s digital tape algorithms (Contour and Grain modes). VST3, VST2.4, AU and AAX for Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon native).
About DigiTape
DigiTape recreates two digital tape algorithms from the early 2000s, the era before today's more detailed tape models. Contour mode boosts the highs before saturation and filters after, compressing the top end and rounding transients. Grain mode splits the signal into three bands, saturating the lows and mids while trimming the original highs so the generated harmonics add bite without harshness.
It runs as VST3, VST2.4, AU and AAX (64-bit) on Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.11+ with native Apple Silicon support. Licensing goes through iLok (PACE Anti-Piracy); Pulsar Audio emails a free license code after a short survey on the product page.
