About SL Chip Lab
SL Chip Lab is a retro instrument from Sfoor Labs with 88 playable sounds in 11 banks: drums, impacts, retro synths, melodic sounds and short recorded human reactions (licensed CC0). The melodic banks follow the key and major or minor scale you pick, and Tone, Space, Level and Tempo shape the part.
You can play the native pads, send it MIDI notes, or trigger its 8 original phrases. In FL Studio a dedicated pad MIDI source records pad performances as editable notes. The phrases and on-screen characters are original, not taken from old console games.
Version 1.0.0 runs on Windows 10 (2004 or later) and 11 x64 as a VST3 instrument and standalone, and on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 13 or later as VST3, Audio Unit and standalone. There is no Intel Mac build. One purchase covers both desktop versions, installed and activated through SL Hub.
