About Collapse

Collapse is a small instrument for transitions: sub drops, risers and impacts generated from scratch instead of pulled from a sample folder. Every sound is synthesised and its length follows the host tempo, so a drop set to four beats lands on the bar.

There are nine sounds: Drop, Rise, Hit, Reverse, Boom, Slam, Tape, Metal and Void, played from MIDI notes C1 to G#1 or from on-screen pads. LENGTH is set in beats, DROP sets how far the pitch falls, GRIT adds bite, TAIL controls the ring-out and TONE the brightness, and the sound re-renders as the knobs move.

Several sounds can be stacked at once, and an output limiter rounds off the peaks instead of clipping. There is no preset browser, just the nine sounds and five controls.
