A 16-voice analog-style synth from MEY's own engineer: four oscillators per voice through a self-oscillating transistor-ladder filter, a hands-on hardware-style unit, and a typed-word sound designer (MAKE) that builds and varies patches for you.
About ROB
ROB is MEY Audio Engineering's signature synth: sixteen voices, each its own analog card from the same batch of parts, so no two voices sound quite the same. Four oscillators per voice (saw, triangle, pulse, sine, noise or wavetable) run through a 4x4 modulation grid into a transistor-ladder low-pass filter built to behave like the real circuit, down to self-oscillation staying in tune.
The interface opens as a hardware unit on screen, with a 61-key keyboard, touch ribbon and two XY pads, plus an eight-track step sequencer and arpeggiator. MAKE lets you type a style in words and ROB builds and varies a patch from it. VST3 and AU on macOS 10.15+ (Apple Silicon or Intel), VST3 and standalone on Windows 10/11, with a 7-day full trial.
